Western Texas College to Host 2026 College Fair September 24
Western Texas College invites area high school students, families, adult learners, community members and current WTC students considering transfer to explore their options at the 2026 Western Texas College Fair. The event takes place Thursday, September 24, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the Westerner Gym, Building 7.
The annual event brings together representatives from colleges, universities, technical schools, specialized programs and military branches. Attendees can ask questions, compare programs and learn about admissions, financial aid, scholarships, career training, and campus life.
The College Fair also welcomes adults who want to begin college, return after time away, change careers or explore new training opportunities.
“Choosing the next step can feel like a big decision, but you do not have to figure it out alone,” said Isrell Lawson, WTC Welcome Center and Enrollment Outreach Director. “Whether you are preparing to graduate from high school, returning to college, exploring career training or planning to transfer from WTC, the College Fair gives you direct access to representatives who can answer your questions and help you compare your options. Current WTC students who plan to transfer can also make valuable connections.”
The Western Texas College Fair is part of the Texas Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers College Day/Night Fair program. TACRAO’s new partnership with StriveScan provides barcode registration and scanning for the College Fair.
When an attendee wants to connect with an institution, its representative can scan the barcode to receive the person’s information. This allows attendees to spend more time asking questions instead of completing a separate information card at each table. Attendees can register for a free StriveScan barcode before attending the College Fair by visiting StriveFair.com.
After completing the registration form, each attendee will receive a personalized barcode by text and email. Attendees may display the barcode on their phones or bring a printed copy to the fair. People should keep their barcodes open and ready to scan when they arrive.
A list of participating colleges, universities and other organizations will be released closer to the event.
