Habitat for Humanity Moves House Built by Students at the ATC
For more than 20 years, Lubbock Independent School District (Lubbock ISD) and the Byron Martin Advanced Technology Center (ATC) have partnered with the Helen Jones Foundation and Lubbock Habitat for Humanity to build homes for residents of the Lubbock community. Habitat for Humanity has arranged for this year’s newly built home to be transported to its new neighborhood.
The transportation of the home is scheduled to start at the ATC (3201 Ave. Q) at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 27. Representatives from Lubbock ISD, the ATC and Lubbock Habitat for Humanity will be on location.
Staff and students will be available for photos, videos and interviews at the event. Media partners are welcome to park at the back of the building on 32nd and Ave. P, where the house is currently located.
