Harmony Public Schools Prepares to Welcome Students Back to Harmony Science Academy–Lubbock
Harmony Public Schools West Texas District is preparing to welcome students back to Harmony Science Academy–Lubbock as the 2026–2027 school year begins on Thursday, Aug. 13.
Faculty and staff have spent the summer preparing classrooms and campus facilities to ensure students have a successful start to the new school year. Students will return to a learning environment centered on hands-on STEM education, project-based learning and opportunities that encourage academic achievement, leadership and personal growth.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming our students and families back to campus,” said Dr. Kamil Yilmaz, West Texas Area Superintendent. “The beginning of a new school year is an exciting time filled with opportunities to learn, discover and build the foundation for future success.”
Harmony Science Academy–Lubbock provides a tuition-free public charter education with a strong focus on science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), college readiness and character education. Throughout the year, students will participate in robotics, coding, engineering, leadership activities, athletics and fine arts programs that enrich the educational experience.

Harmony Public Schools is currently accepting applications for students and team members for the 2026-27 school year.
