Harmony Science Academy Offers Free Meals Through Community Eligibility Provision (CEP)
Harmony Science Academy Lubbock is proud to announce its participation in the Community Eligibility Program (CEP ) under the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and School Breakfast Program (SBP) for the 2026 – 2027 school year. Schools qualifying to operate under CEP serve breakfast and lunch to all children at no charge and eliminate the collection of meal applications for free, reduced-price, and paid student meals. This approach reduces burdens for families and school administrators and helps ensure students receive nutritious meals.
“When students have access to nutritious meals throughout the school day, they are better prepared to learn, participate, and thrive,” said Dr. Kamil Yilmaz, West Texas Area Superintendent. “We’re proud to offer this program because it supports both student achievement and the well-being of our entire school community.”

About The Community Eligibility Provision (CEP)
The Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) is a non-pricing meal service option for schools and school districts in low-income areas. CEP allows the nation’s highest poverty schools and districts to serve breakfast and lunch at no cost to all enrolled students without collecting household applications. Instead, schools that adopt CEP are reimbursed using a formula based on the percentage of students categorically eligible for free meals based on their participation in other specific means-tested programs, such as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF).
