New Exhibition Open at the Buddy Holly Center
LUBBOCK, TX — The Buddy Holly Center is pleased to present the West Texas Watercolor Society’s 4th Annual Signature Show, on view in the Fine Arts Gallery from August 7-September 20, 2026.
Featuring a diverse collection of original watercolor paintings, the exhibition highlights the versatility of the medium through a range of subjects, styles, and artistic approaches. From vibrant landscapes and expressive portraits to imaginative contemporary works, the exhibition offers visitors an opportunity to experience the depth and beauty of watercolor painting.
This year’s exhibition was juried by nationally recognized watercolor artist Janet Rogers, whose distinguished career spans more than four decades. A Signature Member of numerous prestigious watercolor societies, Rogers has earned national recognition for both her award-winning paintings and her work as an instructor, leading workshops and demonstrations throughout the United States and Europe.
The exhibition is free to the public and will be on display in the Buddy Holly Center’s Fine Arts Gallery during regular museum hours.
A closing reception will be held on Sunday, September 20, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., providing visitors with an opportunity to celebrate the exhibiting artists and the conclusion of the exhibition.
