City of Lubbock Celebrates the 40th Anniversary of the Junior Ambassador Sister City Program, with Musashino City, Japan


The City of Lubbock will celebrate the 40th anniversary of its Junior Ambassador program and partnership with Musashino City, Japan, with a wall display debut and Junior Ambassador ceremonial Special City Council meeting on Friday, July 31, beginning at 8:15 a.m. in the Citizens Tower lobby.
The art display highlights four decades of friendship, cultural exchange, and connection between Lubbock and Musashino City. The ceremony will also welcome Junior Ambassador students visiting from Musashino City as part of the annual cultural exchange program.
For 40 years, the program has helped students and families from both cities share traditions, learn from one another, and build lasting friendships.
Community members are invited to attend and celebrate this milestone partnership.
