Backpacks & Flapjacks
Real Deal Cares is excited to announce Backpacks & Flapjacks, a community back-to-school event in partnership with IHOP designed to help local students begin the new school year prepared, encouraged, and ready to learn.
Building on the success of previous community events, Backpacks & Flapjacks combines a family-friendly pancake breakfast with a school supply drive and backpack giveaway, creating an opportunity for the community to come together in support of local students and educators.
Families attending the event will enjoy pancakes while participating in activities designed to celebrate the start of a new school year. Students will also have the opportunity to receive backpacks and school supplies, while supplies last, thanks to the generosity of community members, local businesses, and event sponsors.
As part of the event, Real Deal Cares will also be collecting donations of new school supplies to help meet the needs of students throughout the community. Individuals, businesses, churches, civic organizations, and community groups are encouraged to participate by donating items or partnering with the event.
The event will also provide an opportunity for families to connect with local organizations and community resources while enjoying a welcoming and engaging atmosphere.
Community members can support the initiative in several ways by:
- Donating new school supplies or backpacks
- Sharing resources during the event
- Becoming an event partner or sponsor
- Attending the event and helping spread the word
Real Deal Cares invites the entire community to join in making a positive impact for local students. Every donated notebook, backpack, pencil, and supply helps ensure children have the tools they need to begin the school year with confidence.
