Summer Free Food

As students enjoy their summer break, many families lose access to the nutritious meals children receive during the school year. To help bridge that gap, the YWCA of Lubbock is participating in the Summer Meal Program, providing free, healthy meals to eligible children and teens throughout the summer.
The program is available to:
- Children and teens 18 years old and younger
- Enrolled students with disabilities up to age 21
Meals are served Monday through Friday at the YWCA of Lubbock, located at 6501 University Avenue. Families should check in at the north entrance.
Meal service times are:
- Lunch: 10:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
- Snack: 3:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
The Summer Meal Program helps ensure children continue to receive nutritious meals even when school cafeterias are closed, supporting their health, growth, and well-being throughout the summer months.
Families looking for additional meal sites and schedules can visit summerfood.org or call 2-1-1 for more information.
