YWCA’s Fatherhood Initiative


YWCA Lubbock is pleased to announce the appointment of Tyson Bethany as the new Fatherhood Initiative Program Director.
As Program Director, Bethany will help lead the Fatherhood Initiative, a 12-week evidence-based program designed to help fathers build stronger relationships with their children through practical parenting strategies, personal development, and meaningful community connection. The curriculum is based on the nationally recognized 24/7 Dad program and is facilitated with support from a Child Development Specialist.
To introduce the program and welcome prospective participants, YWCA Lubbock will host a Fatherhood Initiative Kickoff Meeting:
Date: Tuesday, July 7, 2026
Time: 6:00–8:00 p.m.
Location: The Party Room at the YWCA at 6501 University Avenue
Program participants will receive:
- A structured 12-week cohort experience
- Weekly two-hour sessions
- Childcare support, when requested in advance
