City Offices will be Closed for Independence Day
City of Lubbock offices will be closed Friday, July 3, in observance of Independence Day. Normal operations will resume Monday, July 6.
West Texas Region Disposal Facility and the Caliche Canyon Landfill will observe the following holiday schedule:
Both Landfills will be closed on Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4.
Residential Trash Collection
Residential collection will not be conducted on Friday, July 3, but will be collected on Monday/Wednesday and Tuesday/Thursday.
Drop-Off Recycling Centers
- Open Friday, July 3
- Closed Saturday, July 4
Libraries
All Lubbock Public Library locations will be closed Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4.
Community Centers/Burgess Rushing Tennis Center/Safety City
All community and senior centers and Safety City will be closed Friday, July 3.
**Burgess Rushing Tennis Center will be open July 3 from 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Cultural Facilities
The Buddy Holly Center, Silent Wings Museum and the Garden & Arts Center will be closed Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4.
