Bragg secures his spot in Eugene Thursday
The women’s Texas Tech track and field team wrapped up day two of the NCAA West First Rounds Thursday evening at John McDonnell Field.

Jackson Bragg punched his first career ticket to nationals as he cleared 5.37m (17-7 ¼) to place 10th overall. The freshman will make it four-straight seasons a pole vaulter on the men’s side competes at nationals for Tech. The men’s pole vault was moved to today due to yesterday’s weather.
Symoria Adkins dropped a huge PB in the 100m hurdles, coming away with the best time overall today at 12.80 (+1.8w). The time moves to No. 5 all-time for Texas Tech in the process. Tonie-Ann Forbes finished 11th going 13.23 (+1.2w), taking second in her heat. Auceane Bouijoux secured one of the next six best times going 13.39 (+0.7w).
Both women’s 400m hurdlers qualified for Saturday’s quarterfinals as Vanessa Balde won her heat at 56.52. Lovina Ewusi finished third in her heat at 57.61.

- Collinique Farrington went through in the 400m, placing 3rd in her heat at 52.30
- Fanny Arendt qualified in the 800m with the 6th overall time at 2:03.44
- Tamiah Washington missed the cut by one spot in the long jump as she finished 13th at 6.33m (20-9 ¼)
