City to Host Oath of Office Ceremony on Wednesday
The City of Lubbock will host the Oath of Office for the newly-elected members of the Lubbock City Council at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20. The ceremony will take place in the City Council Chambers at Citizens Tower, located at 1314 Avenue K. Parking will be available in the parking garage located to the south of Citizens Tower.
Those taking the Oath of Office are as follows:
Mark W. McBrayer – Mayor
Christy Martinez-Garcia – District 1
David Bruegel – District 3
Dr. Jennifer Wilson – District 5
The Lubbock City Council canvassed the votes from the May 2 Municipal Elections during the regular Council meeting on Tuesday, May 12. Also at that meeting, outgoing District 3 Councilmember David Glasheen was recognized for his service to the citizens of Lubbock.
