With just one week remaining until the Casas for CASA drawing, CASA of the South Plains is asking the community to rally behind children in foster care as the organization works to close the gap on its $90,000 fundraising goal. CASA is currently a little over halfway to its goal with just days remaining, and every ticket purchased between now and drawing day will make a meaningful difference.

Casas for CASA is CASA’s annual raffle fundraiser that helps the organization advocate for children in foster care and continue recruiting, training, and supporting CASA volunteers. Currently, CASA of the South Plains serves just over 50% of the children in foster care within the six counties the organization serves, meaning there are still children in our community waiting for a CASA volunteer to walk alongside them during some of the hardest and most uncertain moments of their lives.

“This fundraiser is about so much more than raffle prizes,” said Jaclyn Morris, CASA of the South Plains’ CEO. “Every ticket purchased helps ensure more children in foster care have someone walking alongside them, advocating for their best interests, and reminding them they are not alone. Our community has always shown up in incredible ways, and we are hopeful people will continue rallying with us during this final week.”

Community members can still participate by purchasing raffle tickets online or visiting the Casas for CASA site at Market Street located at 98th Street and Quaker this Friday and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tickets are just $5 each, with larger bundle options available. Participants have the chance to win custom-built playhouses, a storage building, enclosed trailer, or a $3,500 Mastercard gift card.
