Red Raiders selected for NCAA Ann Arbor Regional

The Texas Tech women’s golf team was selected to compete in the 2026 NCAA Division I Women’s Golf Championship, announced live on Golf Channel on Wednesday. The Red Raiders, an at-large selection, were placed in the Ann Arbor Regional, hosted by Michigan, May 11-13 at the University of Michigan Golf Course.

The selection marks Texas Tech’s 23rd regional appearance in program history and its first as a team since being chosen for the Pullman Regional in 2023. It will also be the 13th regional appearance under head coach JoJo Robertson in her 16 seasons leading the program. The Red Raiders have also qualified individuals each of the past two seasons, sending Lauren Zaretsky to the Las Vegas Regional in 2024 and Klara Hurtova to the Lubbock Regional in 2025 — both of whom are projected to be part of Texas Tech’s lineup in Ann Arbor.

The Ann Arbor Regional is one of six sites hosting competition May 11-13, with the top five teams from each advancing to the NCAA Championship Finals at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California, scheduled for May 22-27. The other regional sites include Waco, Texas (host: Baylor), Chapel Hill, North Carolina (host: North Carolina), Simpsonville, Kentucky (host: Louisville), Stanford, California (host: Stanford), and Tallahassee, Florida (host: Florida State).

The Red Raiders enter as the No. 8 seed in the 12-team Ann Arbor Regional field. The regional is headlined by No. 1 seed USC, while fellow Big 12 programs UCF and Kansas are also in the field. Michigan, one of six predetermined host sites, will host a regional for the second time in the past four years.

Texas Tech enters postseason play following a sixth-place finish at the Big 12 Championship, where it shot 19-over (301-286-296) at Dallas Athletic Club. UCF placed third (+6), while Kansas finished ninth (+25).

Twenty-nine conferences received automatic qualification to the 2026 Division I Women’s Golf Championships. Regional tournaments are considered preliminary rounds of NCAA championships competition and all national championships policies apply.
