CASA of the South Plains Kicks Off their Annual Casas for CASA Raffle this Weekend
Casas for CASA is officially underway, with on-site sales beginning Friday, April 17. This community event supports CASA of the South Plains and its mission to advocate for children in foster care. Casas for CASA brings together local businesses, builders, and volunteers to create one-of-a-kind playhouses, storage buildings, and other custom items that are raffled off to raise critical funds. Community members are invited to view the builds in person and purchase $5 raffle tickets for a chance to win.
Tickets are just $5 each, and the more tickets purchased, the better the chances to win prizes including a custom-built playhouse, storage building, enclosed trailer, and a $3,500 Mastercard gift card. This year’s goal is to raise $90,000, and with strong community support, CASA is confident it will be met.

On-site sales will take place at Market Street on 98th Street and Quaker every Friday and Saturday from 12:00 to 6:00 p.m. Community members are encouraged to stop by, explore the builds, and support a meaningful cause.
Every ticket purchased helps CASA provide trained volunteer advocates for children in foster care, ensuring each child has a voice in court and a dedicated adult looking out for their best interests. About CASA of the South Plains
CASA of the South Plains inspires, educates, and empowers solution-minded community members who are committed to supporting the best interest of children in the foster care system. Volunteer advocates create connections and promote nurturing relationships for the child and family, encouraging hope and healing. Through court appointment and collaborative efforts, volunteer advocates share informed recommendations for the well-being of the child. CASA supports children in six counties in the South Plains: Cochran, Hale, Hockley, Lubbock, Terry, and Yoakum.
CASA’s Impact*
- 374 children received advocacy services from CASA of the South Plains in 2025.
- 222 CASA Volunteers donated a total of 5,832 hours in 2025, saving county taxpayers $320,760 in county paid attorneys’ fees.
- 120 youth in foster care found permanency with the help of their CASA Volunteer in 2025.
