Lubbock Fire Rescue Publishes 2025 Annual Report


Lubbock Fire Rescue has officially published its 2025 Annual Report, highlighting another year of exceptional performance, growth, and continued commitment to serving the citizens of Lubbock, Texas.
The report showcases a 439% return on investment, reflecting the total amount of property saved in comparison to the department’s annual budget.
Lubbock Fire Rescue also maintained its prestigious ISO Class 1 rating, placing the department in the top 1.3% of fire departments nationwide and the top 3.35% in the State of Texas, reinforcing its standing as one of the premier fire departments in the country.
Key Accomplishments from 2025
- Fire Station No. 20 Opening: Opened in South Lubbock to improve response times and coverage; dedicated as the Eric Hill Memorial Station.
- Phoenix G2 Dispatch System: Implemented to speed up call processing and enhance in-station alerting technology.
- Record Recruitment: 1,200+ applications received, marking the second consecutive record-breaking year.
- Scott X3 Pro Air Packs: Rolled out department-wide to improve firefighter safety, interoperability, and accountability.
- Blocker 17 Program Expansion: Strengthened roadway incident safety with dedicated apparatus protection for responders.
