Tickets Now on Sale for the 48th Annual Lubbock Arts Festival, April 18–19
The 48th Annual Lubbock Arts Festival, presented by United Supermarkets, will take place April 18–19, 2026, at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center, 1501 Mac Davis Lane.
Recognized with multiple “Best in Texas” honors from the Texas Festivals & Events Association, the Lubbock Arts Festival remains the largest fine arts and crafts festival in West Texas, bringing together artists, performers, and visitors from across the region for two days of exhibits, performances, and hands-on activities.
This year’s festival theme, “Bloom,” is inspired by flowers and reflects the growth, beauty, and vitality of the arts. Special exhibits and installations throughout the festival will bring the theme to life, including the “New Floral” exhibit featuring Miriam Dubinsky’s colorful paintings, screenprints, and collages, and a garden-inspired installation created by the Texas Tech University College of Visual & Performing Arts. Featured Artist Gale Webb will also present acrylic floral paintings that highlight her vibrant color palette and expressive style.
More than 100 visual artists from across the nation will showcase and sell original artwork in painting, jewelry, pottery, photography, fiber art, wood, and mixed media. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet the artists behind the work, learn about their creative process, and purchase one-of-a-kind pieces directly from the makers themselves.
Visitors can explore the J.T. & Margaret Talkington Juried Gallery, watch artists at work in the Demonstrating Artist Area, and enjoy performances by musicians, actors, and dancers throughout the weekend.
Young artists and families will find plenty to enjoy as well. The festival features a Young Artist Competition showcasing artwork from more than 30 public, private, and homeschool groups, along with hands-on activities in the Chalk Art Area and Children’s Art Area.
Another highlight is “The Bizzee Bee,” an interactive learning adventure designed especially for children. In this immersive exhibit, kids explore a giant Texas prairie environment while learning about pollinators and the important role they play in the natural world.
Special Ticketed Events
Two special ticketed events will also take place during the festival weekend.
The Culinary Canvas Luncheon, inspired by the art of Claude Monet, combines art, history, and dining in a unique festival experience. Guests will enjoy a light lunch, dessert, tea service, and an engaging presentation on Monet’s work. During the luncheon, the festival will also recognize Edson and Jenny Way as the 2026 “Champions of the Arts.”
Also featured is ARTRAGEOUS!, a high-energy performance that blends live painting, music, and dance. During the show, artists create paintings live on stage while music and movement transform the stage into a vibrant, evolving art gallery.
Event Details
Festival hours are Saturday, April 18 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, April 19 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center.
Adult general admission is $5 in advance online and $7 at the door, with children 12 and under admitted free with a paid adult.
